Poetry in Form’s fourth poetry prompt.

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but these prompts are probably my favorite part of editing Poetry in Form. I mean, how else can you get the opportunity to take a trip around the world without ever buying a plane ticket? We traveled far and wide with this prompt and I loved every minute of it.

However, it wasn’t only exciting to discover all of the different physical places, or natural settings, that the poets chose to focus on, but also the feelings that these places invoke. Memories of specific, significant moments in time, feelings of being home, senses of adventure, and blissful escapes are just some of the elements you will find in these nonets.

The most impressive thing of all? This was all achieved in only nine little lines with rigid syllable requirements. Talk about amazing.

Now, on to the poems:

Tamyka Bell

Christopher Raley

Garnet

Ernio Hernandez

Andy Meyer

marika bianca

Jackie Ann

Patrick Faller

Renae Tobias

Rachel B. Baxter

Thank you to all of the poets who participated in this prompt and I hope you enjoyed the challenge of creating your nonet as much as I did reading all of your work.
